Contract Electronics Manufacturing
We provide all the elements necessary for a successful contract manufacturing project. A tailored service based on your own specific requirements. We provide considerable value to a project due to 20+ years experience in providing contract electronics manufacturing services globally. With numerous considerations with each and every project our ability to instinctively identify key parameters helps us to provide smooth and successful outsourcing projects to the client.
Providing successful projects worldwide on some of the most challenging and sensitive products. OPServices has managed projects within the Europe,U.S.A and across SE Asia. This has provided us wealth of knowledge across the CEM/EMS industry and how to ensure a successful project for all parties.
Prior to undertaking any EMS project OPServices will evaluate the existing products and process flow to appraise their current suitability transfer by undertaking a pre-transfer audit. Firstly, we always ensure that a mutual non-disclosure agreement is in place to protect all parties. We absolutely appreciate the importance and potential concerns related to intellectual property and it’s protection.
We analyse the current processes and procedures and identify the key and critical parameters of a product. This is a key element in any successful relocation and re-qualification project. The time required to complete the assessment clearly depends on the complexity of the product and process flows. However, typically we would endeavour complete the evaluation report within 10 working days of completing a complete process walk-through at the current manufacturing or development facility. While reviewing the existing process flows, we also investigate potential process rationalization where possible. We believe it is a useful exercise to fully review the existing manufacturing status with all historical information. While we recognise that any change can potentially present its own risk, our experience has shown this is a good opportunity to review and consider all all opportunities.
Once the technical and commercial considerations have been documented and reviewed we will provide a short-list of potential contract manufacturing partners. If required, OPServices will further support you through the final manufacturer selection phase…
Contract Manufacturer Selection
OPServices is an independent contract electronics services provider, and through this we offer complete impartiality when we source and recommend potential contract electronics manufacturing partners. This position of neutrality supports own aim, which is always to ensure each and every project enjoys a perfect-fit with the most suitable electronics subcontractor partner. Several considerations including technical, logistical, commercial and financial are reviewed prior to final recommendations to our client. A full supplier evaluation report will be completed when providing the short-list of suitable service providers.
At OPServices we believe a key-factor in any subcontracting project in aligning the expectations of both our clients with that of the electronics manufacturing services provider. This philosophy ensures that we establish an effective and sustainable working relationship with all parties. While OPServices remains impartial throughout the process we clearly benefit from our significant experience of contract manufacturers through our many and varied successful projects..
The selection process will be based on the following factors;
- Equipment and process capabilities, support required etc.
- Forecast volumes and product evolution
- Cost over product life.
- Quality accreditation and QMS.
- Geo-location, timezone and restrictions such as ITAR.
- IP protection and sensitivities.
- Mutual road-map.
- Existing know-how.
- Sample builds.
There is rarely a situation where one single criteria should differentiate all potential suppliers. Unit cost is not and should not be primary parameter for vendor selection. At OPServices we consider all aspects of the project and provide you with a suitability rating for each contract manufacturer under consideration. In some we have clients that require more than one contract supplier through a strategic second-source supplier. This multiple vendor approach to provide further supply risk mitigation can be provided as required.
Technology Transfer & NPI

OPServices has significant experience of global sourcing and procurement of new and used production equipment.
